Fall/Winter 24-25
This collection takes its inspiration from the raw beauty of horses and the timeless elegance they embody. The collection's name, "Meydān,"derived from the Arabic term for a public square or open area, reflects the cultural significance of these spaces traditionally used for horse shows and community gatherings
The gown’s equestrian spirit is captured through elements such as horseshoe prints and opulent tassels, enhanced by the use of rope, braids, knots, and macramé in the embroidery. The fabric is a creative blend of velvet, lace, leather, suede, rope, silk, and organza. Laser cutting, engraving, and perforating details, along with fringes and metallic gold elements, add to the collection's overall opulence
“Horses have long been revered for their spirit of freedom, their commanding presence, and their unrestrained potential,” explains Rami Kadi. "The horse is undoubtedly one of the most stunning creatures on Earth, embodying raw, unbridled beauty. It has been the topic of some of the most epic Arabic poems. I don’t think there’s a civilization that wasn’t fascinated by the powerful, immortal energy that this creature emits.”
The designer adds embossed embroidery and three-dimensional flower designs to bring the collection to life and add a tangible element to the visual designs. Laser cutting, engraving, and perforating details, along with fringes and metallic gold elements, add to the collection's overall opulence
