Inspired by the craftsmanship traditions of the western world, Bataille Dorée explores the enduring beauty of handmade creation through the language of haute couture. Drawing from crochet, leather craftsmanship, fringe making, and artisanal techniques, the collection transforms traditional craft into contemporary couture, celebrating patience, precision, and the extraordinary artistry of the human hand.

Looks

The collection comprises 40 couture looks, balancing sculptural tailoring with fluid silhouettes. Crochet-inspired embroidery, layered textures, pony hair applications, and newly developed surface treatments create the visual motif throughout the collection. Movement and depth are introduced through long beaded fringes, crystal embellishments, semi-precious stones, and metallic details. The looks are accompanied by custom accessories that extend the collection’s handcrafted identity beyond the garments.

Bataille Dorée draws inspiration from the atmosphere and craftsmanship of the western frontier rather than its iconography. Open landscapes, weathered leather, handcrafted objects, and rural traditions establish the collection’s visual world, while dimmed lighting, earthy tones, and rich material contrasts shape its cinematic identity.

COUTURE CRAFTSMANSHIP

Inspired by the intricate geometry and entirely handmade nature of crochet, the Maison developed new embroidery techniques and material combinations specifically for the collection. Rich embroidery, mixed textures, pony hair, crystal applications, and metal embellishments are layered across each silhouette through months of atelier work, making this the most labor-intensive couture collection Maison Rami Kadi has created to date.
